Outstanding lens. It is heavy so bought a good monopod to support it. I have it working with a MC11 adapter on my Sony A6300 and it is superb.

An affordable solution for wildlife especially bird photography. As I will be travelling all over Europe over the next few years I am confident that the sport lens will stand up to the rigours of summer and winter.

I take a lot of wildlife photographs, mainly birds. This lens gives you the extra reach and importantly the image quality is superb. Yes it is on the heavy side but in real terms it is worth it. The construction is superb, built like a tank in truth, but I fully expect to have this lens for many years to come. I would recommend that you consider purchasing a gimbal to attach to your tripod or monopod as this will significantly help with prolonged use and it will also help with image quality.

In the short period of time I have had this lense it has impressed me as quite simply the best long focus lense I have ever owned. Once I learned how to use it properly that is. I am recovering from cancer treatment and the lense is, for me, very heavy so a tripod is essential. I also use a wireless shutter release. Be prepared to adjust ISO settings to keep to an aperture of around f11 for depth of field. I photograph wildlife as hobby and ensuring a sharp duck in the middle of a pond while set to f5 is beyond me at the moment! To sum up a fantastic lense, if in doubt, treat yourself.
