Great certified android device. 4k streaming works, but it has infrequent moments of jitter. (Rarely noticeable). The device is mostly stable, although I do find I need to reset every now and again as the device loses connection and cannot find it again without a reset.

M1 Box S is a good product.Really nice and compact.I had seen reviews of this product and i noticed there were 2 models as u can see on the remote this model support Prime and its a button on the remote and there is another one with a Live Button instead.. Im glad i got the Prime button feature.I use this to connect to my viewsonic M1+ projector and it works well.Google Voice recognition is amazing and it works well.U can connect to your Bluetooth headset and Bluetooth gamepad and play some beach buggy .Smooth and no stutter or lag while playing or watching movie. Also im using an app from the android play store as a remote and also i can use voice commands too.Since the 8 gb was to less for me i booted it with a pendrive of 64 gb and i use it as an internal drive so i got ample of space now too.The only issue is the price but its a good investment.

One of the Best proper Android TV device in the market, but you can’t get BBC iPlayer on it or ClickElectronics prime video.. if that is important for you.. go and get the Nvidia shiled..

These are excellent, you won’t find a better box for the money. Voice control, Google assistant, play store . Full Android tv interface so doesn’t need keyboard and mouse. , Chromecast built in. Does android updates.

This looks like a nice product and the way that it is advertised is that there is a lot of apps that you can use on it. But the truth is I don’t really think there is any more than if you were using an ClickElectronics prime stick. The one plus is that you now have a remote control for google chrome and you can have your google films and tv programmes that you bought in one place, other than that I don’t really see much of an advantage. The machine itself crashes a lot and then just keeps going round and round in a loop until you plug it out and start again this will happen when you are in the middle of watching, Netflicks, films or youtube or watching a film and its a pain as it keeps on happening. I can’t say I recommend it, to be honest, its an average performance in every way. And the seller offers so little information about the product that you have to email to find out about it which in short is lazy.

I knew I should have read more reviews before buying this. I get the impression this isn’t for the UK market as it comes with a 2pin mains adapter taped to the box and there’s no UK in the region set up?No BBC iPlayer, no ITV Hub, No Ch4 very little UK content to be honest which makes it a pointless device. Keeps losing wi-Fi connection after it drops in to sleep mode. Very dissapointing to say the least and maybe going back.

I’ve used the Mi Box 4s for about 5 months now and I am about to give up and spend double the money and get a Shield TV simply because Xiaomi cannot wrap their heads around the complexities of Android 9 which practically translates to the following experience for a verifiable majority, if not the entirity of the customer base:> Bluetooth driver support is more miss than hit. Dualshock 4s that work on any and all other Android, Apple and Microsoft based devices are unpairable on this particular model, for example. Bluetooth connected soundbars and speakers need to be re-paired to reconnect once either device goes to sleep. Also worth noting is that sound will not work once you plug in the DS4 controller via USB unless you unlock developer options and disable USB audio routing because why wouldn’t you want that to be the default?!> Wi-Fi drivers for the most part do their job. However, once the Mi Box starts having issues buckle up for a rollercoaster of non-sensical troubleshooting until it automagically starts working again.> HDR and Auto-switching resolutions have mystical properties. Might be a combined issue of the infancy of HDR and the connected display but I find that the box struggles to get it right a lot of the time, either not changing resolution to that of the content or trying to make SDR content HDR (even with the option toggled off).I contacted Xiaomi support recently who were quick to reply with the following steps:> Factory reset> Update to the latest firmwareI did, again, for the…4th time? I asked them what do I do next.>Contact the place of purchaseOk and what am I contacting them to say?>Contact the place of purchase-_- Thanks

This is the fourth Android TV box that I have bought in the last two years, so I have become something of an expert on how bad these things can be. The first three boxes all “died” from the same cause – firmware that becomes obsolete and stops working. They worked beautifully for a while and then crashed never to return. In theory you can update the firmware by contacting the manufacturer for the latest updates, but this is just in theory – it can’t be done in the real world because most of these boxes are rebranded with names that make it impossible to know which manufacturer actually made them. Maybe you could do it if you speak Chinese! So when they crash, they die and that’s the end of them.I chose this brand for my fourth attempt because I know the brand is real ( I have a mi phone which is excellent). The company has a proper website in most languages and you can contact them if there is a problem. Having said that, it might not be necessary in this case because the firmware is properly licenced (rather than cloned from another device) and, joy of joys, it actually updates itself when necessary. The quality of the TV stream is excellent, the best I have seen. And although the remote is a little weird it’s actually very good once you get the hang of it. You can also control the box with your voice – which I love. I watch YouTube and there’s no need to use the remote to ponderously type a search. I just raise my voice slightly and say “Find me PGA Golf!”The only negative is that this box does not come with a proper internet search engine installed. It has Google but in a modified and greatly reduced version. This can be a problem if you want to load side or third party add ons for streaming TV and movies etc. There are ways around this problem but you need a computer and a memory stick to apply them.So if you want a box to stream live TV, sport, movies etc from “underground” sources, you will have to do a bit of tinkering.
