This is an excellent lens, I am delighted with its performance hence I award it 5 stars , it is a heavy item though I expect that for the range that this lens covers, comes with a 5 year warranty too hence a perfect purchase for me.

A small screw fell off this lens, over a month ago and I simply can’t source a replacement.Despite warranty, a lens repairer told me, it is very difficult and very very slow, to get ANY Tamron parts.There is no way of contacting them and I now have a lens which is CERTAINLY un (re) saleable,and also very difficult now, to mount on my tripod. Effectively, I have lost the use of a £1000 lens, for the sake of a replacement screw!On that basis, I’d say don’t buy one of these lenses, unless you can afford another at £1000!

CANNOT REGISTER THIS ITEM FOR WARRANTY IN CANADA! Not sure why ClickElectronics.ca is selling a tamron-usa warranty lens.Also: Focus is hard to nail down. Needs calibration.
