    I wanted to like this, as I really needed a light, quality standard zoom for my a7 cameras, without having to spend a fortune!The build quality is fine, the colour, contrast etc, is good, but the lens is just not sharp enough in any part of the image other than the central 50% or so. At all focal lengths, at all apertures, the edges are bad, the mid zone average to poor, and the corners very poor. At 24mm the corners are just a smear. Go below about f8, and the images are truly dire.Contrary to what I’d read, the lens was most consistent at 50-70mm, f8-11, where the images were at least just about usable.I part-exed it four months later.
