I am a professional musician working in recording studios so my requirements are probably a bit unusual. For years I have been looking to ditch the bulky studio ‘cans’ and find a wireless solution. Normal Bluetooth is out of the question, as delay is of the order of half a second (about 500 milliseconds). Bluetooth 5 so-called low latency is also too big at about 1/4 second. (250ms)These Sennheisers are true ‘aptx low latency’ and (coupled with the right aptx-ll transmitter) are the only set that work well enough. I estimate the delay is about 25-30 ms, not perfect but good enough that I am prepared to give it a serious try.The earbuds have an app which can set various parameters, including a graphic equaliser, but it’s a bit basic. They have a transparent listening mode, but there is no adjustment and the amount of sound let through is minimal. It also seems to default to ‘off’ which is a tad annoying.Sound quality seems pretty reasonable without blowing anybodys socks off.Pairing is a bit slow and iffy, but usually works. It is possible to use only the RH bud, and I usually prefer this when recording, but that means I need to insert the left one just to access the Volume Down function as the controls are not programmable and the RH bud only raises the volume. All in all, this is by a long way the best option for true low latency that I have found, and I hope the sofware will be updated to improve usability.

I already own or have owned most of the best bluetooth headphones and ear phones as well as the best previously wired ones, but these are what I thought that Ihave been striving for, they have the best, brilliantly clear and defined sound quality ever. The best before these for me were the Bose Soundsport Free but these are slightly better in the musical detail, they make the bose sound like they have been hiding the treble although over time I have realised that the treble can be troublesome for me. I eventually found that the more mellow sound from the bose was better for me.They are better than the apple airpods in detail and some bass but the airpods are better for wearing in bed.The Soundsport Free will always be a good second from the Senniezer as they have better features but not a full bass to treble sound, and this review is on sound alone. The Jabra Elite were not as good as the Bose soundsport for me so I presume that they would not be as good as the Sennieser.Update: I have now tried the Master & Dynamic MW07 and although they are good for people who dont like bass, they are weak and tinny for me.Senniezer have banked their future on these but the main drawback are the touch controls. They are too hard to use. Thats why these are going back afer much testing and waiting for a firmware update.

If you are considering buying these, please take the time to read this unless you are already sold on them.I have an extensive list of experience in sound and music. As someone who is a sound technician, band member and tech fanatic my collection of sound gear starts from anything from free apple headphone to a £2000 pair of headphones and a full kef and sonos sound system.First impressions: Case is much smaller than expected. The lid its self feels slightly flimsy when opening but after taking my chances of snapping it off i can assure it is not likely to break off. USB-C charging port is a must and great they have thought ahead. Light indicators are simple but thats fine for what its needed for. Ascetically most import is the canvas cover. No more fingerprints and scratched cases. The units them self feel very well built and have a correct weight for its size. Some people may find them to be slightly big for the ears but by choosing small buds or if needed custom fit buds the way the roll into the ear should be best for the 99% of people.Ok, Most importantly Sound. as someone who has tried a fair amount of wireless and fully wireless in ear and over-ear headphones. these are the single best in-ear unit I have ever tired. By using the Sennheiser app i have adjusted settings to 1/5 up towards the + and around 1/10 towards the base, to closer match the equaliser of my Aiaiai, Bayerdynamic, Senn HD800s and Bose QC35 headphones. For the size of the True wireless and anything in its category there is nothing remotely close to the quality of dynamic sound produced by these earphones. Dear I say they are comparably higher quality than most full size headsets (unless you spend a considerable amount of money). To those who appreciate good quality sound, look no further. These are your best friend on a walk, traveling, at your desk. A 4H battery life plus charges from the case is more than enough for what they were designed for. For those who are price contentious you are missing out while you buy the many sub par equivalents from Apple,Sol Republic, B&O, Jar-bra, Sony and yes Bose. (Most of which look like an oral B tooth brush head or a small sized cockroach in your ear.)This has solved the issue of terrible fully wireless earphones for the meantime. As technology progresses it would be interesting to see what would be developed but for now this replaces a daily headset and my primary go to on the several abroad trips I make a year. A Hearty handshake for the designer of these.

First impressions were great. Sound on par with wired Sennheiser buds, which is a high standard. Great fit. A little large but fine. Connection is generally stable. As time went on, my view changed. One glaring issue is that if the case is low on battery, and you leave the buds to charge over night, eventually the case will lose power, the buds will wake, search for Bluetooth and drain power. Numerous times I have woken to dead buds and a dead case. A quick look on the forums suggests this this may not be a defective unit, but a design flaw. I have never received a Low Battery warning while using them. Also I have seen a number of reviews on these which say call quality is excellent. I can say I have tested these with 3 separate calls, and had to disconnect them each time as the person on the other end could not hear me. Returning to phone speaker was instantly fine. Tested on a Samsung S8 with Bluetooth 5.This really is disappointing, I associated Sennheiser with quality, especially at this price point, but I could not recommend these to anyone.

I love Sennheiser, I love their sound signature, I own many headphones and quite a few of them are Sennheiser, HD600, HD650, HD6XX, Game Zero, and after trying out the Jay Birds, and the Jabra Elite 65t (both did not meet my sound standards), I ordered these ear buds, the Sennheiser MTW. This.. is.. an.. INCOMPLETE product. The sound is amazing.. it beats out the other ear buds by a long shot. Stays in my ears when I work out, app is decent, the touch system works well, my one and only complaint.. is the battery drain. It drains even when it is not in use.. and just sitting in the carrying case. This is unacceptable. Even with the new firmware update.. it is still draining. These are not cheap ear buds.. so when I pay this much for a pair.. I expect everything to work properly. I am heartbroken, because I love this sound signature.. the sound stage, the bass, the clarity, the high ends.. the amazing mid range.. I love it all. Will be returning these earbuds. Heartbroken </3
