    Having moved to an A7iii, a fast 35mm was always going to be my first purchase. It was down to this and the Sigma, the Sony 35mm 1.4 was discounted due to price. After much research I decided to go with the Samyang and I’m glad I did. AF locks on fast and accurately, not silent but that doesn’t bother me. Image quality is very good, I tend to shoot wide open and very happy with sharpness and bokeh.The only downside is size and weight, but it’s a Full Frame 1.4 lenses so it should be expected. I would highly recommend this lens.In case you’re interested, my lens firmware was v2.

    Great lens, works great for photography on the A7iii but no good for video as the focus is weird but works good on the Fs5…

    Great lens. I’ve recently switched from Nikon to Sony, and as such I couldnt afford to replace my old Nikon 35mm Sigma Art with the newly released Sony E mount version.Youtube reviews actually led me to try this and I’m really impressed, I much prefer the images from this (though I’m sure my upgrade to the Sony makes a big difference too!)If you’re looking for an alternative to the Sigma I don’t think you’ll be dissapointed with this.

    Das Samyang 35mm AF 1.4 Objektiv hat mich sehr überrascht.Die Bildqualität ist fantastisch, der Autofokus ist schnell, präzise und leise(selbst an meiner alten Sony A7 Mk I).Portraits gelingen genauso gut wie Landschaftsaufnahmen.Schon bei Offenblende ist das Objektiv sehr scharf.Der einzige Nachteil ist die Größe und das Gewicht des Objektives, wir damit kein Problem hat, bekommt für sein Geld unglaublich viel Leistung.Wer nicht auf die Lichtstärke (1.4) angewiesen ist, dem empfehle ich das 35mm 2.8 AF von Samyang. Dieses ist deutlich kleiner und günstiger.Portraits gelingen hiermit jedoch nicht so gut.Klare Kaufempfehlung!
