A very good speed light not heavy not to light well made and was well packed a must for any amature, this is one of the best speed lights you can have, I was told by a nikon rep yesterday that the sb900 is the top one but the sb700 is a close second, as I cannot afford a dear one i opted for this sb700 model from nikon, it came with a warranty, a well explained manual in English I hasten to add, and I am so pleased I did purchase this model and I can recommend this to you all as it works very well with my nikon d7000 Camera so if you are an a mature or would like a decent speed light trust me this is the one , as I cannot afford to spend hundreds on a flash gun but with this one its all you need once again it’s a great item to have with your camera and you will not regret it thank you ClickElectronics

This is my first TTL flash, I’ve only used old manual flashes with optical slaves before. I am constantly surprised by how accurate and fast this flash is. The TTL system takes care of constantly having to figure out the flash strength, and this works on camera as well as in wireless mode. The wireless Creative Lighting System is extremely useful, it means you can simply use the flash without a cable, optical slave, or any sort of extra equipment whatsoever just as if it was on the camera. I was initially worried if this system would work in bright sunlight, as optical slave systems tend to fail or misfire in harsh light, but I was happy to see that even in the harshest sunlight, this flash works exactly as it should with the wireless CLS system.Although it isn’t as powerful as the professional SB-800 or SB-910, I have to stress that it’s very bright! I could easily shoot my model with the sun behind her and have plenty of fill from the flash on an early summer afternoon.Recycle time is very very fast, especially that you will rarely need to approach maximum power, which means most of the time you can just shoot without waiting at all between shots. The controls on the flash are very simple and intuitive. I never had problems finding what I wanted. The only thing that lacks polish is the feel of the dial: it feels a bit cheep and doesn’t click at the same time as it registers the rotation. This doesn’t really affect use though, and the SB-700 is a really great flash that I definitely recommend.

Bravo Nikon and ClickElectronics. Unit arrived next day and after only a days use I can honestly say this is one of the best purchases I’ve made to supplement my Nikon D00 kit. I can’t believe how well exposed the shots were and how quickly the gun fired and recharged. Taking continuous flash shots with a D800 seemed like a dream to me but the SB700 does exactly that. You are warned about letting it cool down after a continuous burst of 15 shots, but the temperature indicator on mine didn’t report any high readings. Tried all manner of scenarios using different lenses with and without lens hoods, different ambient light levels, subject distances and bounce flash settings and I generally got spot on exposures. Haven’t tried high speed strobe like shooting or CMD or remote shooting yet but I’m optimistic these will be just as successful. Brilliant so far and can’t wait to use it in earnest. I was considering the SB910 but what you haven’t had you don’t miss. I suspect it might be a bit heavy for me and I might not need the compexity, whereas the SB700 is relatively light and is complex enough without being overwhelming. I already own the SB400 and it’s a neat little gun thet can fit in your pocket, but the SB700 is far superior in my opinion. Kind of wish I bought the SB700 earlier.

This flash produces seriously good results just sitting on the top of the camera. One of the cheapest Speedlights, it still isn’t cheap however it is worth it. The build quality is good, [t feels really solid and well put together. Switching on, I was amazed by how quickly it charges up. The menu is not immediately intuitive but some reading (I got mine from ClickElectronics and yes, I got an English manual) and watching a few videos on youtube quickly got me started. I have not had the opportunity to use it in earnest however some trial shots around the house have produced really good results without much effort. Now comes the warning… as you start to learn about the whole Nikon lighting system, your juices will begin to flow and pretty soon, you will start thinking about buying a second one! If you have a newer Nikon camera with commander mode, this (or the 910) is the flash for you.

I umm’ed and argh’ed for a year or two about getting a flash unit – another thing to set up/adjust/distract when shooting and not cheap, depending on how often you would use it. However, I bit the bullet and am very pleased – makes such a difference to even casual shots of the family.I plumped for this model because of (a) compatibility with my Nikon (although you can get 3rd party products that will do similar, I wanted this to be idiot proof out of the box – TTFL deals with all the dull stuff whilst I just shooy), (b) the ability to angle/bounce flash is absolute must, (c) it comes with a couple of diffusing options (pop on cover, in built ‘frosted’ cover and the simple yet super effective in-built white bounce cardHighly recommended

bought this one after scouring through the cheaper end and I’m so glad I spent the extra and got the Nikon one to grow into. It oozes quality and works a treat even for a novice. It’s very easy to get properly exposed shots and has loads of features for me to grow into. It is expensive compared to others but trust me it is worth the extra and I don’t regret buying it at all.
