Just received my JBL Clip 3. I knew what to expect as my friend has one and I was so impressed with the build quality and sound that comes out of this fantastic little, but mighty speaker.Sound quality is amazing and has really good clarity and bass. One tip I’d bare in mind is that if you’re using this with Spotify or Apple Music etc then it’s advisable to change the equaliser settings within those apps to suit what your listening to and it’s even better sounding. This way your music or podcasts will always sound great.I’d highly recommend buying this speaker you won’t be disappointed.

Review of JBL Clip 3 speakerIf there is one word to describe this upgraded micro speaker, it would be brilliant. Brilliant in the sense of being well designed to increase volume, the battery life of the speaker, and brilliant terms of the sound quality. I am a food delivery courier and use this speaker on my bicycle on average six hours per day. It is crucial that speaker that I attach to my backpack can cut through road noise when producing audio directions, music and spoken word. This upgrade succeeds on all fronts. It is noticeably louder than the Clip 2 and, in addition to loudness, there is a brilliance (brightness) level which I can clearly detect depending on the quality of the source material. four instance, I have compared the sound quality, at their best available bit rates, of ClickElectronics Prime Music and Tidal Hifi. The speaker demonstrated the poor quality of the ClickElectronics audio output; it sounds muddy and without any real dynamic range from between or within tracks. On Tidal, the brilliance of voice and bass overtones comes through in a striking way, I would call it really good. For instance, in GQ’s Disco Nights (Rock Freak), the opening base line had a real head-turning pinch as I rode in heavy traffic by London’s Liverpool St. Station. In fact, I would say it sounds better than the UE Boom 2 in both the tightness of the baseline and the brilliance of overturns and treble sounds. I also note that listening to spoken word is much clearer, in noisy traffic. This is an ideal set-up+ for a dedicated Radio 4 listener using iPlayer. The only minor complaint I would have, and it’s not really very major, is that telephone calls are not quite as loud as they seem to be on the Clip 2.Nevertheless the phone over Bluetooth solution seems to cut through traffic noise and I can use it comfortably when speaking with people on fixed lines and also on various mobile and hands-free devices. I never have anyone telling me that they can’t hear or understand what I’m saying, unless there is a poor mobile connection.

    Brilliant Upgrade

Robust, portable, loud and easy to use speaker. Very solid and robust, feels like you could play cricket with it! The buttons are very big and bold, but not good at moving up and down a playlist, it will move to the next track but that is it. Goes very loud for its size but sound quality lacks subtlety. Great for speech and background music and does very well for my needs, which is as a replacement for a portable FM radio (in combination with phone). Battery is great, copes easily with on and off use for a day or three. Bought one for my 91 year old mother who listens mainly to BBC Radio 3 and 4 while she does the gardening. Clips it to the washing line! She copes with it fine and is very pleased with it too.

Great productI have used in my kitchen while cooking, when having a shower in the bathroom really close to the shower that means a lot of humidity, but the main use for me have been using it while commuting to work with my bicycle. I put the volume down just good enough for me to listen as it is a no no to use headphones while cycling. This mean a lot of dust rain and also heavy use.The sound quality is excellent and it is a really good speaker considering also the sizeI believe it is just great better than others also because the clip allow you to use even in the most weird situation and somehow make it safer as sometimes is better to hang it rather than leave on the floor etc.I am buying another one for a family member as was impressed about the sound quality.Would I recommend it?Definitely yes!

    Love it

Use it for a month now as my shower dance machine lol. The sound is decent, considering the size of the speaker, it even manages to give some bass. I’d say it’s a bit on a muffled side, but it’s a tiny waterproof speaker, so I’m pleased with the sound overall. Charged it just once, so have no idea about the battery life yet. The only downside is – tried to use Siri with the internal mic, Siri couldn’t hear me at all. Didn’t try to yell though hehe. Good speaker.

I use this mainly in the shower and when i am out cycling and hiking, So the waterproof aspect of it fits the bill for me. I have owned a couple of Sony Bluetooth speakers and they sound incredibly muddy. No trebble. When companies say it has an extra bass button all it does is sound like a pillow has been put over it. You can’t achieve decent bass in a small speaker. The Clip 3 does not have much bass but sounds very crisp and clear, not to the point of being tinny though. ideal for vocals .Yes , I would recommend the Clip 3 for what i use it for.
