SummaryAmazingly good all-rounder truly wireless earbuds. Smart charging case (USB-C), lightweight buds, good battery life, great sound and comfortable. The completely package – and this is coming from a Cambridge Audio Melonamia 1 (CAM1) owner.Full ReviewLet’s start from the beginning here. I purchased these as I found the CAM1’s uncomfortable when running or being active (aside from that, they are superb). I had tried the Jabra Elite 65t earbuds last year and was terribly disappointed so was a little apprehensive about spending so much on the follow-ups. Similar to the 65t, the packaging of the 75t’s is premium, they are really nicely presented and definitely give off the “premium” feel. First thing that greets you option opening is the cutout displaying the buds themselves – petit. Revealing the next layer, you meet the charging case – also small in size. You’ll also find a small compartment which contains the charging cables, instructions and additional buds (small and large, medium are pre-fitted).In the background, you’ll also need to download the Jabra Sound+ app to your android/iphone. Really quick and easy, no signup required. After I unpacked everything it was time to connect the buds to my phone; this was painless and follows the usual process. After connecting you’ll also be prompted my the app to do an update to the latest firmware. This was again quick and relatively painless; took about 15 minutes in total to do. Gave the case a charge whilst doing this as well to ensure it was at 100% capacity. All good, time to move on.Fired up Spotify to give them a test drive. Felt like being punched in the ear – these are VERY bass heavy and not in a good way! Back to the Sound+ App to configure the profile. Obviously, bass needs to be reduced – filled with a few other bits too and ended up with the above custom profile which I really like. Leaves the sound energetic, some bass, naturally balanced with nothing too overpowering. 100% recommend trying the profile as it completely changed the buds sound. Back to Spotify and the improvement was incredible! Easily rivaling (in my opinion anyway) the CAM1s. Next issue I discovered was that when I went for a run, the buds had a tendency to feel loose and need adjusting every so often. There’s a tutorial online for “finding the best fit” but I found it kind of useless. I insert them with a little twist, and push the bottom into my ear slightly further too. Note that I opted for the SMALL buds. This has resulted in a really comfortable feel, not painful at all although slightly deeper in my ear cancel than normal. I found that it also helps support the buds and the fit is really secure now. Went for another run and any/all issues have been ironed out.Additional comments/FeedbackBattery life isn’t industry leading but it’s far from the worst available; in all honestly it’s somewhere in between the best and average. No complaints from me though, with roughly 7 hours on a single charge it’s more than sufficient. The case allows for a few cycles too so good job there. One feature I honestly love is the passthrough mode; using the mics; it feeds the outside noise into the buds themselves allowing you to hear ambient noise and conversations. This can easily be activated either through the app or a single click of the left bud when using. Talking about the buds; unfortunately the left bud acts as a slave to the right – what does this mean you might ask? You can’t use the left bud by itself (but can use the right without the left), you may also experience a delay in connecting if you take out the left bud before the right as the right manages the connection to the phone. When using both buds, removing one from your ear will auto music the music which I think is a great little feature too.

I’ve upgraded from the 65t’s. These are the more subtle fit with extra sound. They did require a burn in period of 5-7 hours of play back for the bass to settle down. Out of the box it’s (the bass) is really boomy, but once the drivers seltle in and the sound is great, still on the bassy side, but that app offers easy adjustment.

I thought the Jabra Elite 65t’s were the best featured bluetooth earbuds, bar none. Special mention must go to the multi connect bluetooth on Jabra. Meaning you can be connected to 2 devices (not paired, ACTUALLY CONNECTED) at the same time. I’m often out with my laptop and phone. I can be listening/watching/tele-conferencing on my laptop and if the phone rings the laptop is automatically paused and the phone goes live. As soon as I finish the call the pause is released and I carry on with my laptop. This is a must have for me, as otherwise I miss calls and notifications. Only downside with the 65t was the large size making it uncomfortable for long periods in my ears. The fab new 75t solved that problem and added a slimmer USB C case and longer battery life. I am pleased as.

Note: For whatever it is worth, I am using an iPhone which has Bluetooth v4.2 (w/LE & A2DP).I have not yet used the 75t’s in the gym so cannot comment on how they do in that context. However, regarding the other review which describes how the connection dropped often during their workout, I can only report that I have noticed connection dropping during my normal day-to-day use but this has not been very often.Pros:- Sound is really good and the capability of adjusting the EQ from the Jabra Sound+ app is great too.- The ‘PassThrough’ feature is great. This is where you press the left ear button once while not in call (you can have other audio playback on) which turns the mics on to pass ambient noise through the ear (so you don’t have to take them out to hear your surroundings e.g. there are many use-cases for this feature).Cons:- These are not active noise-cancelling earphones. You have to rely on a good seal around the earholes from the silicon part. Of course the ambient noise will be reduced, but not completely. However, the sound quality and the reduction of ambient noise due to the seal is good enough which makes up for no active noise-cancellation capability. So this is either a pro/con depending on your view. Also – since these do not do active noise-cancelling, the battery life will be improved compared to other active noise-cancelling products (since no battery is being used for that purpose). The biggest issue I have is the firmware is buggy (1.25 here which is the latest as of December 2019). The most obvious bugs I have noticed are:- Sometimes if I start a call without the earphones connected, e.g. I receive a call from a friend, and then take the buds out of their case to use them instead of the phone speaker, and put them into my ear, the right one works, but the left one doesn’t connect so my call is mono via the right (not stereo via both). So I try to press the left to manually power on (which I shouldn’t need to because they are configured to auto power on/off when you put them in/take them out of the case!), it does not. However, if I am using the earphones before a call, then place a call, both buds will work as expected.- Sometimes when you open the case (having stored the earbuds in there obviously) the LED’s on the buds don’t flash green like they’re supposed to. They’ll do something which I can only describe as “I cannot make up my mind which LEDs to switch on”. There’s a faint and brief light blue which is not described in the user manual and is not the same as the blue pairing LED! (it is not any of the amber, red, or green indicator LEDs as the manual describes). But other times you’ll open the case and get the green LEDs flashing as you’d expect. (Note: not due to lacking enough charge. The interval between closing the lid and reopening is too short for it to be due to lacking battery to flash the LED properly. Also when paired, the battery status is high.)- The left earbud seems to be a “slave” to the right. Could be wrong about this, but there is something different about the right to the left bud in that if you want to use only one earbud you cannot use the left earbud it has to be the right one. E.g. music playback by one earbud can only be done with the right. The biggest difference I have noticed is power management. The left earbud always has a “powered on” sound emitting from the driver/speaker. E.g. when you press stop on a music track from the phone the right earbud immediately powers off the driver/speaker (you can hear the driver turn off) but the left one remains powered. This is incredibly annoying in a quiet enough area to notice it not least because it means the left is still consuming battery for no reason, but also because there is a NOISE from the left bud when there should not be! It isn’t a hiss. It’s the noise of a speaker which has power but no audio signal. A flat, “ON” noise. So incredibly irritating. The right one doesn’t do this so why Jabra cannot have their firmware developers do the same with the programming for the left I’ve no idea since they clearly caught this for the right bud.Anyway, this is enough for me to send these back which is a shame because the sound quality is terrific.

I am going to break the review down into sections as I got to using the product.Packaging / Out of box experienceAs with any Jabra product the out of box experience has been developed significantly in recent years. I find the unboxing like opening a new present. Pulling the drawer in the product to reveal the earbuds /the charging case and the quick start guide. My only challenge here was to actually pull out the earbuds without thinking that I was going to damage them – they seemed quite tightly packed in to the formed plastic tray they are housed in. The case comes with precharged battery and the earbuds are charged as well. All in all it was as impressive a first view of the product noting the significantly smaller form factor to the 65t that this product is replacing. It comes with all the necessary charging cables and replacement silicon ear tips – I have never needed to replace these so can’t comment on the simplicity of carrying this out.Product feedbackThe charging caseSignificantly smaller than the previous version (almost akin to AirPods charge case) and in my eyes a much better solution that can stand by itself, open and close simply using a magnet as opposed to physical catch and charges using USB-C which is a good upgrade.Earbuds designSignificantly smaller form factor than previous models and significantly more comfortable to ear for me.Easier to put on and quicker to pair when taking out of the box.Earbuds performanceCan only use right ear by itself (at the moment but I believe a software upgrade is coming to remedy this). I am no audiophile but there is a better level of punchier bass – much more than I expected. Overall a very balanced audio performance.Very easy to wear for longer periods of time. You can also use under hats in the cold and are still able to hear / be heard.OverallI LOVE these earbuds and would wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone looking to invest in a new set of buds for music /handsfree calling

Jabra have a name more in making quality corporate headsets than high end music earphones. Having used various headsets from jabra for work, and previously having owned Jabra bluetooth handsfree kits, I thought these were an exciting prospect. My view has been that if you want good bass and sound quality you need large over ear headphones – and I’ve never really liked the compromise of the size.So in my eyes, the holy grail of earphones, is completely cordless, tiny, extremely light, with good bass and great sound clarity. Being able to connect to both my phone and my laptop simultaneously would be a bonus, since I switch between listening to music on my phone and watching programs on my laptop. These are completely cordless, tiny, extremely light, so it’s all down to what it delivers in sound quality. The first thing I noticed is that these deliver a lot of bass! In fact I was extremely impressed. In terms of sound clarity it was very good too, though there was a slight hint of tinny-ness in the treble when played at high volume.I tried these compared to, my cheap but trusty £30 nobrand wireless in ear earphones, a pair of Shure SE215, a pair of beats over ear headphones and a quick compare vs air pod prosCompared to my no-brand earphones. These are vastly superior played back to back. In fact definitely will replace these as day to day earphone. Though of course these do cost over 5 times the price, so not a fair comparison.Compared to Shure SE215. These have stronger bass, and clarity of the sound is very good, but I’d say the SE215 just about have the edge. However, these are completely cordless and more portable, so for day to day, I can see the practicality giving it the slight edge since these are much easier to put in than the faff of getting the shures into you ear properly. It’ll dependon just how fussy you are about the extra sound quality Vs the practicality benefitsCompared to the Beats, well the Beats have a much warmer sound to them and I’d say the better sound, however these cost substantially more and suffer from being large over ear headphones so less portable.A quick comparison vs air pod pros showed that they were similar in quality for bass and but I found slightly better clarity of sound.Battery life, it claims 7.5 hours between charges. I’ve managed 4 hours without problem which is more than enough for my usage.Other nice features:-When you take out the earphones from one ear, the music playing will pause. There is a HearThrough mode which you can activate in the app which can remove the sound isolation and allow sound to come though. Useful if you’re walking and need to hear your surroundings. You can connect this to two devices at once! This is in my case is extremely useful. Having paired up to laptop after the phone and hearing “two devices connected” was a welcome sign, and sure enough playing music on either would switch the sound over – perfect!ProsVery strong bass for in ear earphonesGood sound quality across the rangeEasy to wear and comfortable with good sound isolationExtremely portableCan connect to two devices at onceGood battery lifeCase is USB-C chargingAlexa supportConsSound can still be ever so slightly tinny at high volumesStill not as good as similarly priced over ear headphones.HearThrough mode can amplify background noise which sounds unnaturalExpensive (£170 at time of review)In summary: These are excellent cordless earphones, very small, light, even the charging case is small. The sound quality is great considering their size, sounding like something much bigger. It can connect to multiple devices. In my opinion, these are pretty much perfect earphones for myself as a regular commuter.Update 9 Feb 2020: I have used these almost daily now as my regular earphones. The hear-through mode has worked well to allow for listening to travel announcements whilst on a train at the touch of a button. The sound quality is definitely good enough, though not as good as the Shures, however the extra convenience of multiple device support, no wires and easy putting on/off more than makes up for that.

I can’t believe this product ever got put on sale, I ordered THREE pairs, after the 1st, then the 2nd, did not function to any standard. The left earpiece is a “slave” to the right one, meaning the right one is the only one to connect to your phone, and the left one connects via the right one. I think this, along with poor firmware, is the cause of the problems. The audio cuts out randomly, the left earpieces is out of sync and different volume to the right, both emit a quiet hiss in the background when nothing is playing. When you remove each earpieces, the music is supposed to stop, sometimes it doesn’t, and when it does, it will often emit a loud, jarring, abrasive, high pitched crackle, which is extremely unpleasant and anger inducing when you have just spent 190 pounds.I got into contact with jabra on two separate occasions about the devices and both interactions were unfulfilling and although the person on the other end way polite, and tried to help most of the time, their efforts were in vain and did not help. They tried to guide me through reseting the firmware, and over the course of an hour, I did that, and nothing helped. The result of the phone call was, “Oh I don’t know then, how strange, oh that’s very unusual”, all not helpful. They recommended I send them to them under the warranty, I declined and said I would get a replacement from ClickElectronics as I knew it would be faster and that it could not be possible to have the same problems twice, oh yes it could, or that is DEFINITELY could not be possible to have the same problems THREE TIMES, OH yes it could. Three pairs I purchased and had to send back. I put all this trust into the product and the company and risked my money buying more units, being SURE it could not happen again, and it did twice. The company did not have much to say except it wasn’t normal. But I’m saying that if I tried three different units that it isn’t my fault, if you scroll carefully through the reviews you will see these problems cropping up again and again.I also am not a technology beginner and am quite well versed, I tried everything, every method I could to give the product and the company the benefit of the doubt, but no, after every chance and opportunity they absolutely failed me as their customer.I will always stay clear of Jabra from now on, and please heed my advice and do the same, it will save you a lot of effort and time.

Before I dive into my review, before I try Jabra Elite 75t, I tried: b&w pi4, Apple AirPods Pro, I AM+ Buttons, and few others. Jabra Elite 75t is winning so far.Sound quality: on par with AirPods pro if not better; and with the Sound+ app you have even better control on your sound preferenceNoise Isolating: while it is not active noise cancelling, but it seals well and comfortably that’s almost as good as the AirPods Pro ANC. After I tried Apple AirPods Pro I was convinced that it is impossible to achieve such isolation without ANC and without having to uncomfortably seal the earbuds into your ears. But Jabra Elite 75t changed my mindFitting and security: I workout, jog, walk, and I have 0 worry that the earbuds would fall; it fits securely in my ears and I forget about themMic performance in phone calls: it is not great when compared to wired earbuds; but it is way better (at least for me) when I compare them to Apple AirPods Pro! The other end of the call is always able to make out what I am saying with Jabra; which wasn’t always the case with Apple AirPods ProBattery Life: is just great! I plug the charger into my case almost once a week or so (given that I only use the earbuds around 4 hours maximum a day)Overall material quality: could be better; I noticed the case inside can get sweat prints when I place the earbuds back in the case after working out; moreover, it would be nice to have a wireless charging case for such amazing product
