Enables shots that otherwise would not be possible, picture quality does suffer however.

It arrived 4 days early – great excitement. But wasn’t abler to use it until 2 days after arrival. Tried it with my 70-200 L series zoom on a Canon 7D2.1. Very easy to fit onto the lens and camera, Felt solid and as if it belonged there.2. shooting at f5.6 as lost 2 stops (expected) and at various settings. The quality was, to me, entirely acceptable.A ood purchase, to be recommended.

Having contacted Canon and asked if this converter was fully compatible with my camera 7D2 and lens 100-400 mk2 and getting a yes it is fully compatible and the auto focus would work I went ahead and purchased it. A friend warned me the auto focus wouldn’t work. But I’d checked with Canon who make the product. Converter duly arrived and No auto focus and min F8 aperture which I already knew would happen. Product returned and might get the 1.4 instead, which is compatible as I’d used one to try it out. Seems strange that Canon. customer Service didn’t know this.

Fantastic bit of kit! Had to buy from ClickElectronics Europe as no supplier in the UK seemed to have them in stock. It does limit the autofocus to an f/8 aperture, but it extends my 100-400mm lens to nearly 900mm with my 7d mk ii. Haven’t had much chance to use it yet, but I’m impressed so far. Would recommend.

Nice sharp photos.

I found this matched my EF 200mm f/2.8L lens really well and gave sharp images. Autofocus in the EOS RP and M50 was fast an accurate. Also worked well with the EF 100mm f2.8 macro provided I used an extension tube.
