I have been a fan of Bose for a long time and have a variety of their products including great the QC20 and QC35 headphones. Both have their place and are very good quality products. These however were bought after extensive testing of lots of similar products for using in the gym where the music broadcast is loud and not for me. So i needed something that offered some cancellation as well, was well portable and stayed in my ears. These fit the bill. I keep them in the car on charge, .they start up and connect as soon as you remove them from the case and are very good sound quality, control via the earbuds and general use is just as Bose always is and totally on the money. Highly recommend for the use mentioned, did try them on a flight and the noise cancellation was nil when it came to close quarter chatter and engine noise. Overall very happy and i think compared to sony and others similar are reasonable priced

I have lots of Bose products that use Bluetooth wireless connection’s. Most have good sensitive receivers that allow them to work without any dropout any where in my house.Unfortunately these sports ear phones are not as sensitive, I estimate them to be only fifty percent as sensitive, receiver wise. When compared with my AE2W over ear Bluetooth headphones using the same iPad2 as the source device. As far as the sound quality goes it’s very good, giving good frequency response and stereo effects. They compare well with the AE2W headphones on this score, at Max volume from the iPad the AE2Ws don’t distort at all. The sport ear phones do distort the bass a bit on the same iPad2 volume level. The noise cancelling seems to be only down to the silicone ear buds making a good seal or not. Battery life is quoted at up to two hours but I didn’t get more than one and half hours at seventy percent audio level.

Currently sat on a beach connecting and reconnecting this device which has 100% battery but keeps disconnecting and turning off. Ultimately a huge let down. Having already owned a pair of bose quietq35 ii which I love I thought these would be a worthwhile additional pair for the gym and more subtle occasions however I’m very disappointed by how unreliable they are as I could have brought my £20 pair with me and they have never been so unresponsive. Very unfortunate as I love Bose as a brand but clearly this model has its hang ups.

Ok the sound on these is amazing, very comfortable and i love the charging case etc. But the negatives far outweigh the positives and for £169 wireless earphones they will be going straight back and here’s why :I use a 3rd party bluetooth transmitter, a TT-BA01UK, which is plugged into my TV’s headphone socket. This has been working flawlessly with a really old pair of Sony MW600 bluetooth wireless earphones. No latency, lag or lip sync issues whatsoever. This transmitter only cost me £16.99 and its been great! I wanted an upgrade on the sound though, so thought spending this much money might be OTT but the sound is great, however, using the same setup i get terrible lag and the lip sync is completely out, almost by a second so its completely useless for watching TV and that was half the reason i got these. There is no feature on my TV to change the audio delay and if they work with my other bluetooth earphones i see no reason why i’d need to anyway? The other problem, i pair these with my laptop running Windows 10 and i only get sound out of the right ear just like if it were a phone call, my laptop thinks it a handsfree mobile headset not wireless headphones, so films etc sound terrible! Again, my trusty and very old MW600 worked correctly and had no issues, so how can a much newer and much, much more expensive product not cope with such a basic connection like his? Surely Bose didn’t presume everyone would just be pairing these to a phone and nothing else??? These are bluetooth and this is supposed to be one of the benefits in that you can connect a mulitude of devices to each other isn’t it????….I’m very disappointed. I did check all the reviews relating to this and it was a mixed bag really, so i didn’t know what to expect. I would recommend this is you’re only going to use them for music, but for anything else like tv or video i’d avoid them completely! It’s simply a case that they’ve released this product without testing them in all connection scenarios first and from such a big name as Bose that’s pretty damn shocking!!! This isn’t a software fix, they really need to get these redesigned and manufactured so that they work properly and include some low latency hardware like aptX-LL!There are a lot of posts on the Bose community forums, but there are no solutions just a lot of people complaining about the same experiences..One last grumble and like others have said, these do protrude out of your ears quite a bit, so unless you want to look like a hipster come tattoo artist with dodgy earrings, that might bother you too..There’s no way i’m spending £169 for them just to use only with my phone!

Worst BOSE product ever! Do not waste your money. Connection constantly drops out even when battery is 100%.Support will tell you its the nature of master/slave connections. Just a crap product.

I have seen a lot of comments about disconnection. I use these with an IPhone X and they work a treat after firmware update. What I can confirm as a fact is this ( confirmed with many other users on the Bose Community Forum.Connections will drop when used in direct sunlight as the headphones heat up a safety feature kicks in. Whatever Bose say this is a fact and is totally repeatable on multiple headsets and confirmed by many customers. As a customer in the UK this is no big issue, but these were useless by the pool in Italy last week in sunny 28 degree is plus temperatures. My original Soundsport phones worked fine.I have confirmed with Bose the temperature cut off but they say these work up to 50 degrees, which may be true in ambient heat, but even in sunshine at 28 degrees they can get too hot to touch and WILL disconnect.I have an open query with Bose on this now,Please consider before parting with your cash. All that said, work great for UK and in the GYM

Having just purchased 2 sets of earbuds over the past couple of weeks from ClickElectronics, I was sold by the hype of these Bose SoundSport Free buds and, as I already have a number of Bose products including SoundWave digital DAB radio/CD, home cinema system, QC20 earphones and car system, I thought these will be much better than the SoundPeats and Enacfire earbuds I have just purchased. At more than 4 times the price of the other earbuds I purchased, these Bose Soundsport Free should be the biz…The packaging itself would save at least 20% off the price if Bose cared about such things however as exclusivity is their goal, price is not a priority. The earbuds themselves are great, they fit nicely without coming loose and were fully charged and working straight out the box.Bose would have you download and use their Connect app which includes user manual and apparently you can update the software on your buds plus you can find your buds if you (are careless enough to) lose one or both in your home.Enjoying the deep rich base I decided to compare with the Soundpeats Truengine which cost less than £40 against the £155 I paid for these Bose buds, the Soundpeats stacked up well and there really is very little in it hence my score on sound quality vs price. In other words, you are not getting much more bang for your buck by spending so much more on these. That said, they do sound good and I am enjoying using them. I would be just as happy to carry the SoundPeats with me in their tiny case as opposed to the bulkiness of these Bose buds. The volume controls are really stiff and need a bit of force, apparently, according to online reviews I watched before buying, this is a known issue. Also the volume is restricted so they wont go really loud – Ill thank them when Im 70 and can hear my grandkids !Tried making a couple of calls to my voicemail to check both the hearing and spoken quality of these buds and I compared them with the SoundPeats. The mobile phone Im using is an iPhone XS, if you want to know what sort of equipment Im using. The result was quite good actually, listening to my outgoing message on my answerphone wearing the Bose buds sounds quite muffled but when I played back the message I had left for myself it was crystal clear. Whereas with the SoundPeats it was the reverse.Wearing them now. Enjoying the sound but can just as easily be wearing the SoundPeats. One big difference – these are more comfy!1 week into owning these buds I found the controls stop responding.Sometimes it might be the skip to next track buttons not working (a double press) or another time it will be pause not working and so on…The workaround is to reset to factory settings & start over. But when youve had to do this a few times in a week it is not so great anymore.I have to say, the buds I purchased at a fraction of the price did not have any issues at all!!Spoke to Austin in Bose Tech Support (no longer in UK), Austin was keen to tell me he also owned the same earbuds. He even had the same iPhone. Austin says his never do that. Austin went on to helpfully tell me these earbuds are supposed to work with iPhone – oddly that might have been a reason I bought them.I found Austins banter to be really useful for checking the call quality but sadly Austin was of little use to me and certainly had no idea how to resolve the problem so I ended the call before we moved on to his pets.I didnt need somebody to sell me what I already bought – I needed a solution and Austin didnt have one and neither apparently does Bose!If this continues its back for a refund and try the Beats Powerbeats Pro that cost a bit more but apparently are worth it.

The fit is excellent for me. I use them for running and even on long, sweaty runs they don’t budge. They are very comfortable and i don’t notice they are there. I love the charging case and the sound quality is great. What i don’t like:The volume buttons on the right ear plug have very poor feedback and it takes several hard pushes to get the volume to adjustYoutube has a sync issue which as of May18 hasn’t been resolved. I don’t get this issue with my Plantronics backbeat fit’s so this is a Bose issue.
