Really good in some areas, crappy in others. Love the noise cancelling which gets better with every update, surprisingly good sound quality and great bluetooth range, comfortable earbuds and impressive battery life. You get a nice hardshell case with zipper and the gadget speaks Swedish, which is an unexpected bonus.However, the headphones are useless for making calls. And they used to shut down after only a few minutes (this issue seems to be fixed with a software update). The flimsy rubber piece protecting the charging port feels like it will fall off any minute and the neckband keeps sliding around even when youre just walking. Most important, though: the protective rubber coating is totally rubbish. Rubbish! Its on the level of headphones costing a tenth of what Bose charges. The coating soon started to come off on my headphones, finally making the on/off switch useless. Had to fix it by putting a tiny piece of self adhesive felt mat between the switch and the coating. Ill try to fix the loose coating with double sided tape. The cheap coating is a shame considering Boses reputation and the QC30s premium price.Would I buy these phones again? Maybe, since theres really not much serious competition. Perhaps Sony WI-1000X are better value for the money? But I hope these Boses will last until Apple launches Airpods NC. As a frequent flyer I need headphones like these.EDIT: Boses kind support people have now replaced the headphones on the two year warranty. The coating on the new ones feels a lot better (so far, I might add) and the sound is, as always, rich and atmospheric. Suberb noise cancelling and probably the best earbuds in the business! It took a couple of calls, some e-mails and eleven days of waiting to get the QC30s replaced. Being an air and bus commuter, I realized during these days how much I need decent noise cancelling headphones. Without this godsend technology, the drone from airplane and bus engines forces you to increase the volume to probably unhealthy levels. Now, if Bose only introduced an equalizer in the app, Id be even happier.

I have been in and around the music industry for many years, recently my daughter decided she wanted headphones or in-ear headphones. So I took my daughter on a a Bose V’s Beats journey at a local shop as she wanted Beats – after no more that a minute listening to her favourite tracks she chose BOSE, of course, I even tried to make her listen longer, but no she was completely sold. She was just blown away by the quality and balance of sound in these In-Ear headphones, the comfortable silicon ear pieces that fit snugly in the ear and suppress all other outside sounds – so comfortable and the noise cancelling does exactly that. I have the “over ear version” and there is no comparison, BOSE V Beats – BOSE wins every time, hands down.

Excellent headphones with noise cancelling second to none. I am using them while travelling (plain, train, bus, underground) All noise especially low engine hums are filtered out superbly. Stays in the ear even when walking down the road as expected for this price.In the office environment you can set noise cancelling to the level you like. For me it is filter out air condition while letting voices slightly in. When I need to focus completely I put it on max and it feels like being alone.Unfortunately microphone is useless. Everybody who ever had call with me is complaining that my surrounding is louder than me.Wearing is comfy even with business suite and travelling is easy. You can lean against window and take a nap without big ear cover being in the way. If you don’t need making phone calls with them it is excellent!
