I have to admit, these shades considerably exceeded my expectations. Bose is well-known for quality audio, but I still had a lot of reservations because when it comes to packing a product into another product, it always seems compromise becomes a running theme. Luckily, that’s not the case here. The audio quality is everything I’ve come to expect from Bose, and as sunglasses, these perform admirably. I love being able to hear my phone and still be aware of my surroundings.They sync beautifully with my iPhone, with well-thought-out and highly responsive controls built in. There’s an app to guide you through setup and controls, so that process was a breeze. The frames themselves look better in real life than in the product photos, in my opinion. I thought they looked a little chunky in the photos, but they look pretty natural in person. They’re also pretty comfortable, though they’re heavier and perhaps a bit tighter than the sunglasses I’m used to. The charging port is a mixed blessing to me – it’s magnetic, which is great, but it’s a proprietary connection, so it’s yet another cable I can’t afford to lose.They connect almost as quickly as plugging in regular headphones, there are no wires, and they cover my eyes. Most impressive, they’re loud enough to be heard very clearly, but focused enough that my wife doesn’t hear what I’m listening to while she’s walking with me. I personally love that privacy, but a cool idea for a future version might be to include outward-facing speakers so you can share the music if desired. I’m also probably going to have to buy my wife a pair, so being able to share audio between units would be a nice touch too.Overall, I’m very impressed with this product, and definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to take their audio wherever they wear sunglasses. I got these for my wife to wear and use and they are a very well made pair of polarised sunglasses with the capabilities to play music, receive calls and link up with your smart assistant. Amazingly they weigh only a tiny bit more than a similar styled normal pair of sunglasses.The polarised lenses are very good with no distortion and a nice dark tint. If you’ve never worn polarised lenses before then you will notice that screens tend to look a bit different and can be hard to read which was something she found when looking at her phone. This is normal though with polarised lenses and not a fault with the sunglasses.So they fulfil the sunglasses element very well, but it’s the music and call capabilities that are what sets these sunglasses apart…Initial set-up through the Bose app was problematic I’m afraid to say. I was using my wife’s Android Pixel 3A phone and I downloaded the app, set up an account… and then the app couldn’t find the sunglasses.To get the sunglasses into pairing mode you hold down the power button until the little light on the inside of the arm flashes blue but even though I tried multiple times to link through the app it just never found the sunglasses. In the end I just went into her phone settings and discovered the sunglasses Bluetooth signal and connected through that without a problem.The fact I can’t get the app to connect may prove an issue if any firmware is updated in the future but at least she can still listen to music and take calls through the sunglasses.The sound quality is good – not as good as a dedicated pair of headphones or earbuds – but considering you don’t have anything going into your ear canal, it’s still pretty amazing. The sunglasses arms are thicker then most sunglasses but this is where the magic happens. In the arms are the battery and the sound which is played through your temples.Swiping the sunglasses arm lets you increase or decrease the volume and if you double tap it you can call up your Smart Assistant. Phone calls sound clear and your voice is picked up well.However…. If you crank the volume up then you do get quite a bit of sound leak which I can imagine would annoy other people if you were on public transport or not be the best thing if you wanted a confidential phone call.To conclude then, we think these are pretty amazing. As with all sunglasses the shape and size of the design may not suit all face types, but for her she loves them. They look great and most people would assume you just have a “normal” pair of sunglasses on, the polarised lenses are excellent and the audio performance is good. Even the slightly thicker arms are not an issue for her. The only negatives for us are that potential sound leakage and the app connectivity which we can live with.

I was waiting for something like this to pop up on my vine queue and when this appeared, I grabbed it immediately. I have never owned a bose product but have always wanted one as most of my friends already have used one of the other product and cant stop praising their products.I was really surprised to find out that bose manufactures such a product as well. Initially I was under the impression that this would produce sound through nine conduction but when I did a but of research, I found that it is through tiny speakers which don’t go directly inside the rest but are blades close to the ear.When these arrived, I wanted to try them out immediately and found them in a rather elegant looking box. The glasses themselves looked really good in design and the speaker component was almost hidden and you would not be at fault for thinking that these are some designer sunglasses.I feel that they look better on ladies so asked my wife to try these out and she was really pleased. She didn’t even know that these had speakers inbuilt so was a bit amused by the shape but on the whole they looked really cool.The next step was to read the instructions to pair them with my phone and connect via bluetooth. There is a Bose app which takes care of everything and is very easy to setup.As soon as I connected it, I heard a noise which felt like it came from near my ears but felt really weird as there was nothing inside or over my ears.I played a few songs on it and the sound quality was pretty good but not great. There was not a lot of bass which is to be expected from speakers of this size. I tried to increase the volume but it became too loud and even people sitting a few feet could easily hear what I was listening.I tried to find a setting in the app to reduce noise leakage but there is no option like that. There are some options to set different sound profiles and I tried a few which made a difference for me but not for people sitting near me.Another issue is that as this is fully black, even if I am able to get replacement glasses for these to match my spectacles, they would not match with the rest of the frame. I might have to get some lens with a black coating which I am not very keen on.I think my wife might end up using these as she doesn’t wear glasses and also she is not worried about disturbing others.Pros Nice design Decent sound quality Comfortable to wear Easy to set up Range is quite goodCons No Bass Too much noise leakage Battery doesn’t last long Black colour means that normal glasses would kot look good with this frameOverall, it is a nice concept which does produce decent sound and has an innovative design but when it comes to listening music, it falls short in both the bass and the noise isolation. I would give it 3 stars as it does work but it needs to sort out some of the issues before it becomes a great product.

I’m a big fan of the brand Bose, so when i was lucky to get the chance to review these i was over the moon. I have Bose bookshelf speakers and also built in Bose speakers in my car, where the sound quality is amazing on both, so i had high standards and hopes for these.Unboxing i was very impressed with how sleek and stylish the box and case appeared. You get a solid Bose Sunglasses case which will definitely protect your sunglasses from any scratches, whilst inside the box you also get a Bose labelled sunglasses cloth, charger and manual guide.The glasses are very lightweight considering it has the music element and function. Connection was extremely easy and fast to do. There is a small power button on the arms of the sunglasses and once turned on you can connect to your phone via Bluetooth which was easy to find and quick to connect. I opened my Spotify app for music and found that the sound quality was extremely impressive and loud considering it is playing from a pair of sunglasses that aren’t even plugged into your ears. The only downside is that it hardly isn’t soundproof compared to listening to audio through a normal headphones, as if you are using them in public someone nearby would be able to hear your music or phone conversation. It wouldn’t be as loud as a loudspeaker conversation, however it can be heard slightly.The sunglasses themselves are actually very comfortable when worn and feel smooth. They fitted my face perfectly and although i don’t personally think they suit my face they do look good overall and are more suited for females.Overall the sunglasses/audio concept is a cool idea and gimmick however its a shame that i have no need to wear or use them on a daily basis which make them something you’d want rather than actually need. I think they are worth the price considering the brand, quality and technology, The sound is VERY good for what they are, and i believe they will lasy years as i’ve never had an issue with Bose quality.

I had no clue Bose made sunglasses before now or that you could even play music through sunglasses so I was really intrigued by these! I think most people know Bose are considered market leaders in sound products so I was expecting big things from these!The pairing I found a little frustrating, it says to download the app and connect it via that but I couldnt get that to pair with them so gave up eventually as I was able to connect it to my phone the normal way no problem.When you turn them on (using a tiny button on the right side) it says what device its connecting too and what percentage of battery they have left which is really handy. Even the voice saying that sound impressive!The design of these ones is a slight cat eye, I hoped my hubby would consider them unisex so we could share them but he felt they were too feminine. Bose do another design of these that look more unisex though if thats what youre after. The legs of the sunglasses are a lot thicker than id chose usually but I assume theres where all the technology lies for them. I have long hair which covers them though so its not an issue for me.The sound is the best bit about these – they sound amazing!! – Lets be honest we dont get much sun in the UK and I love listening to them so much Ive started wearing them indoors when Im trying to relax as it feels like youre almost there watching live music! It really brings all my favourite songs to life and makes listening to them so much more enjoyable! Also when set at a normal volume you can barely hear anything when youre not wearing them which is really cool, I dont like being the person who is annoying everyone else with their music!Another plus points for me was that it came with a sturdy case which is ideal if youre traveling so they dont get knocked around in your bag.Overall Im so impressed with them, I didnt think Id love them as much as I do! I genuinely cant wait until we can go on holiday next year so I can wear these on the beach! Highly recommend them!

Pros- For tiny speakers the sound quality is good- Super comfortable- Impressively intuitive touch-sensitive controls- Can fully hear your surroundingsCons- Sound leakage is terrible- Little lacking in bass- Would be better if there was in-case rechargeabilityWhen I first requested these, I wondered whether the sound was transmitted through bone conduction. It’s not, and instead, there are small speakers built into the arms right by the ears.This gives rise to my main issue, sound leakage. At almost all volumes, people around you will also be able to hear whatever is playing through the speakers, be it music or phone calls. At the highest level, I’d say it would cause massive annoyance to anyone around as it’s so loud. Forget about wearing them on public transport as you’d be like those kids listening to rave music at the back of the bus.The sound quality is very good, though not great, though this is understandable given the small-sized speakers and small drivers. As a consequence, while the human voice and the midrange are very good, there is a definite lack of bass.The frames themselves are one big touch-sensitive control, and you can activate Siri, make/answer/ignore calls, skip tracks, plus change the volume with a touch, swipe or tap.They are incredibly comfortable to wear, tight enough that there’s no chance that they’ll fall off but without pinching or causing discomfort.Looks-wise, I think they’re great slightly larger than your traditional sunglasses with perhaps a little 50s vibe.There is an app but there’s no real extra functionality gained through using it.Overall, while I enjoy them, I’d class them more as a vanity item. Wearing these in public I’d be very conscious of other people being able to hear everything I could.
