I love B&O products and have had multiple headphones / ear phones over the years. I really like the earphones with ear hook – had four sets over the years. These earsets were comfortable and sound qulaity very good. But, if you want these to exercise – I run and spin daily – then they are only suitable if you don’t sweat. I have two pairs now and both stopped working – the first pair in 9 months and the second pair in less than 6 months. The seller was great and replaced first set quickly without question. When second set stopped working they have been consigned to rubbish bin and I have found another brand.Summary – very good if you want to use for commutes and non physical activities – rubbish if you want a good sweat.

I really like these earphones. They fit onto the ear, rather than inside as earbuds do. They do take bit of getting used to, with a bit of judicious jiggling to get them in the right place, but once you’ve found the spot they feel comfortable and sound great. They have a pretty unusual modern / arty / industrial look to them which you’ll either love or hate – I love them. And at a knock down price to boot!

Before I bought these headphones on ClickElectronics for £59 I took the trouble to read the tech press reviews. The first thing that emerged from that exercise was how gouging the pricing can be for a product such as this. Initially they were on the market for a nearly unbelievable £250. Then about £150. Both ludicrous. I have some in ear wireless headphones from ClickElectronics which cost under £10 and work very well. If you are just going to listen to speech then probably as much as you need to fork out.At £59 these are on the upper margin of what you might want or need to pay so what, if anything, makes them worthwhile? Other than the B&O branding.First+, and probably the most important, but very personal, aspect is that they sit in the boundary of the ear and not shoved down the ear canal. That makes them comfortable for a lot longer as far as I am concerned. Maybe not you.Second+, the loops not only look stylish but are also really functional. These things neither fall out and off nor feel that they are tugging on you. That “damn it” moment, “slipped out again” does not happen.Third+, I really like the sound. Also, I really like NOT being cut off from the world around me. No more “wait a moment while I unplug myself” if someone speaks to you. The app, once you can get it to work, does not seem to me to make a lot of difference when sound stages are changed. At least on classical music.Fourth+, I would defy anyone to suggest that these things are not classy. From the packaging through to the look of them.Fifth+, charging is by USB-C. But see below. However, they are not perfect. Now for the – signs after the numbers.First-, the three button controller is no piece of ergonomic brilliance. The buttons are too small. They are not tactile. There is little if any feedback. Mind you, they felt even worse at first. Until I realised that there was a near invisible piece of plastic protection over the whole assembly. Which was hard to get. I suspect some who have written even more critically about the controls might have failed to notice that.Second-, the battery is, no other word for it, lousy. It takes a very, very long time to charge up. Then it does not last very long. I have not made measurements, but you really do not need to in order to be aware that this is an achilleas heel. It defeats me why, with the size of the units, B&O did not do better in this important aspect.Third-, as the supplied soft pouch signals, these take up a deal of pocket space.Fourth-, the cloth “condoms” that go over the ear pieces are a fiddle to get on.On balance, and at the sensible price charged for the white ones (the brown ones are massively more) these are a satisfying but imperfect impulse buy. Go for it if the design grabs you more than VFM.

I used the new earset for several days and finally decided to return it. I have got the old 3i and I compared them carefully. At some details the new earset is worse than the old 3i. THE PISTON IS NOT AS SMOOTH AS THE OLD 3i. When comes to the sound, just fair, because it’s bluetooth and DO NOT SUPPORT APTX which is very confusing (the old H7 supports! I’m the H7 owner as well). Moreover, I really cannot tolerate the battery, less than 4 hours I tested it with the 2/3 volume. I like the B&O products (always good looking), but this time I really disappointed with the new earset…. BUT I THINK IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT THAT CAN BE USED WHEN DOING SPORTS BECAUSE YOU ARE ABLE TO HEAR THE OUTSIDE, IT’S SAFE!! If you don’t mind the coins above, it’s a good product for you.

Retro styling and on ear positioning will not suit everyone. But I’m not a fan of having my ears plugged by the in ear style so these suit me perfectly, and I reckon the look great. Once on your ear they’re not coming off, very secure. Very comfy after a couple of hours constant use.Absolutely brilliant sound quality. And really nice bass. Plenty of volume, though I haven’t been anywhere with alot of external noise yet. They’re not going to block out much, if any. But it’s also really nice to still be able to hear what’s going on around you.Cable is short, but works well as doesn’t get in the way and still allows easy access to the controls.Battery does drain quickly. It’s definitely not ideal. But its the only negative I’ve found so far. They were a bit of a gamble purchase. But I’m delighted with them. Sound and build quality ridiculously good.

OK these are not for everyone (but tell me a set of earphones, or headphones, which are; this from an owner of many Grados, AKGs and a pair of HD800 Ss). What I mean is they are typical B&O sound signature: in my view smooth. They are retro in style. They sit differently, in your ears (A complaint in many other reviews): This can drastically affect the sound, especially the low frequencies, if pushed too far into the ear and obviously they will let external sounds in.The button functions are OK.The manufacture quality is very good.I use them in the gym, for anaerobic, not aerobic: they are not waterproof, as far as I can determine.I could imagine quite room listening would be good, where the wearer wants to move about and still maintain contact with the outside world. When about in street e.g. walking to work, where the wearer wants isolation, not so.Now, an Initial RRP of >£250 no way! But at this price a bargain; if they fit your bill.

I bought these because I had a pretty unique requirement: non-AirPod (simply because I’m an Android user, and there’s no customisation unless you use an iOS device) wireless earphones that still let background noise in so I can wear them in the office and still be able to hear people.Sound is good, they sound better than AirPods and are much better than the earphones that come with phones etc, but not as good as the Earset 3i/A8.Battery is fine too, gets me from 9AM -> ~3PM but I only listen on 10/20% volume.Comfort is acceptable, but use the included foam covers – if you’ve had the 3i/A8 you know what you’re getting yourself into.Basically perfect for me, but not sure anybody else will be that happy with them given the competition. At £120 though I figured I’d just buy them and I’m very happy – wouldn’t ever pay RRP.
